Dan Weemhoff (dwhike)  > Places > Negaunee, Michigan
Negaunee is a very special place to me. I spent 6 of the first 8 years of my married life in this historic central Upper Peninsula mining town. I shot these photos "way" back in 2004-2005 as a way to remember the town as I would be moving away soon. I also decided to include matching photos for most locations in the dead of winter for some interesting comparisons. Pardon the quality, most pics were shot on an old 1.5 MP Vivtar. Just wanted to share a few memories of what I consider "my hometown."

Dan Weemhoff (dwhike) > Caving Grounds - Many open areas around town are fenced off from the public for safety. These areas are undercut by old mine shafts which could be covered by thin layers of topsoil.
