Starved Rock State Park

A quick stop with the fam at one of Illinois coolest outdoor attractions, or so I had heard. Located near LaSalle along the Illinois River, Starved Rock State Park contains cliffs, canyons, overlooks, waterfalls, and due to it being October some nice fall colors. The park lived up to all the hype. We spent an amazing afternoon hiking about 5 miles of trails in the central portion of the park visiting many overlooks and canyons. As it turns out though we still have some two-thirds of the park yet to explore another day. It's definitely a place we'll be back to...
