Maybury State Park Hike Route Map

Maybury State Park

Maybury State Park sits in the northwest corner of Michigan's most populous county, Wayne County. There is no camping within the park, just a network of some 12-miles of trails. We stopped by the park so I could check off another county highpoint. Due to the fact that it was barely 20-degrees and windy we didn't spend much time exploring but we did end up burning the better part of an hour...

Hi Dan, I found your post from summitpost as Maybury being the highest elevation in Wayne county. I am a novice hiker and training for a grand canyon hike and need 5000 feet elevation gain. When you say that the elevation is 950' does that mean if I walk maybury I will gain approx 900' elevation? Or is the gain much less? I am limited to southern michigan until end of August when I will head to Northern Michigan (where I grew up). Any pointers? Thanks, Karen May
