Oden Island Nature Preserve is tucked away within a private community in the middle of Crooked Lake east of Petoskey in Emmet County, Michigan. The preserve is a precious piece of property protecting a long stretch of shoreline along one of Northern Michigan's most heavily developed lakes. Around a mile's worth of trails wander the interior of the preserve taking you from the small parking area along the shoreline and out to the eastern tip of Oden Island. A very nice and all but unknown place to stretch your legs on a sunny spring day...
