Pickerel Lake Pathway

Pickerel Lake Pathway

This hike I am sure I will look back on in years to come and wonder where the time has gone. The fall colors were nearing their peak in our neck of the woods and I decided to take my youngest son, Chris, out with me to enjoy them. Pickerel Lake is located in Pigeon River State Forest north east of Gaylord. The day was crisp and breezy and there was hardly a soul around as we made our way through woods blazing with color. As enjoyable as the colors were it was even more special to see the wonder on my son's face as he his own little discovery's along the 2-mile loop. The scenery and the company was priceless...
