Avery Creek Trail -- 3,100'

Avery Creek Trail (#146)

"The Beating Heart of Avery Creek"

A moderately trafficked path leading from Forest Service Road 477 up to Club Gap at the north end of the Black Mountain Trail (#127). The portion between the trailhead and the Buckhorn Gap Trail (#103) is by far the busiest as it provides access to Avery Creek Falls and the nearby Twin Falls. Coincides with Buckhorn Gap Trail briefly...this section can be wet. Trail is obvious and/or well-marked its entire length. Upper section is moderately steep and rocky in places.
