Falls Creek Falls
Falls Creek Falls is an impressive 150-foot cascade located in the eastern portion of Jones Gap State Park in South Carolina's upstate. A relatively short but very steep trail climbs to the falls. One way is only around 1.2 miles with 800'+ of vertical to climb (most of which is gained in the last half of the hike). Aside from the falls being one of the highest in the upstate I hadn't heard much about this one. Desperate to finally get my first hike of the year in I decided this quick trip would work perfectly.
