Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods, located just outside Colorado Springs, came highly recommended from most who had visited Colorado before us. The Garden is made up of a number of brilliant red rock formations towering hundreds of feet high. Numerous trails wind their way through the park but with just a few hours to visit we decided to limit ourselves to the Central Garden Trail which passes beneath some of the highest cliffs in the park.

The day was dreary and the nearby Rockies we were so anxious to see remained hidden but the Garden itself did not disappoint...
