Man and Grass Pullout -- 2,500'
The Man and Grass Pullout might seen a bit anti-climactic after seeing the views from previous overlooks but I found it fascinating. The beauty of the rolling prairie stretching out to the far horizon, and the fact that this prairie so suddenly gives way to the badlands landscape just behind me was amazing...
Oxbow Overlook -- 2,400'
Our journey along the Scenic Drive in the North Unit concluded here, at the stunning Oxbow Overlook. Far below the Little Missouri makes another sweeping arc through the valley surrounded by some of the highest bluffs in the park. An added treat was a solitary bison lounging along the cliff edge...can you find him?
