Zooming across the valley the historic Chateau DeMores can be seen sitting on an open hill overlooking Medora. The Chateau was built by Marquis de Mores in 1883 (the same year Roosevelt arrived). It was used as a summer home for just three years, though in that time the Marquis was of great influence in establishing Medora. The property, since 1936, has been a state historic site...
