Galena is a pleasant surprise. This little town tucked into the northwest corner of Illinois is positively oozing history. Dozens of historic structures lie within city limits. On my first visit, the overcast skies and busy streets made for tricky photography and I wasn't real happy with the full-color results. So I tried shooting in sepia to help the "feel" of the album. Upon my second visit, I chanced upon a clearer day and revisited the sites by way of a walking tour. I simply followed the map given to me at the visitors center and proceeded to get quick snapshots of the listed historic highlights of the town. Hope you enjoy!
