There are two cabins located at opposite corners along the north wall. The reconstruction of the fort design is complete conjecture so these cabins don't really represent any specific historic structure. During a time of danger, however, the fort would need to house numerous families so other small dwellings were likely included in the fort design...

on September 16, 2014Nicely done...... but WHY would you change 'history' by putting a tavern instead of the barn? Why not just build it the way it was, and if you want to add what a tavern of that day would have been like, then do so in another spot nearby the fort......
